Audit Team Leader
BMWL is currently seeking a qualified Audit Team Leader to join our expanding team of professionals.

It is important for the individual in this role to share our passion for serving the nonprofit sector with excellence. We are often asked about the types of organizations we serve. While we serve all different types of organizations within the nonprofit sector, the significant majority of our clients are churches and other faith-based organizations. This includes, but is not limited to, denominational organizations, missionary organizations, evangelistic organizations, media-oriented organizations, humanitarian relief organizations, schools, and foundations.
As an Audit Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in serving our clients with excellence. Primary responsibilities include:
Planning, conducting, and overseeing all aspects of an engagement – from planning through report delivery
Supervising audit team members
Communicating with clients
Working directly with firm leadership
The ideal candidate will have:
2-3 years of experience in audit (nonprofit experience preferred, but not required)
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
A mindset marked by self-motivation, independent thinking, and the ability to learn quickly
CPA certification or eligibility (not necessary, but a strong plus)
